Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. is hiring for an on-site electrical/instrumentation technician at our Henderson operation in Colorado. The role focuses on installing, repairing and maintaining electrical components and control systems in a heavy industrial setting.

Applicants should have a related credential and multi-year experience; strong troubleshooting and reading of technical documents are expected, with a focus on safety and compliance. On-site housing allowance may apply for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved Electronics, Electrical and/or Instrumentation program or equivalent.
• 4+ years of industrial electrical/instrumentation repair experience or an associate degree with 2+ years.
• Ability to read technical manuals, prints and schematics for troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Remove, repair and install electrical components and systems; mentor others when needed.
• Safely complete routine and non-routine repairs and construction work.
• Perform preventative maintenance on industrial electrical/instrumentation equipment.
• Work with AC/DC drives, PLCs, sensors, and control systems; ensure calibration and accuracy.
• Follow SOPs, participate in safety/environmental activities, and use equipment correctly.
