Job summary

Star Blends in Sparta, WI is hiring a Mill Controller responsible for safety and productivity, ensuring that production scheduled is completed on time.

You will monitor the blending system, sequence runs, receive ingredients, prepare invoices, participate in hiring and onboarding of Production Associates, and lead team huddles for two shifts: First 4:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.; Second 12:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m., Monday–Friday. Be prepared for variable Wisconsin weather and lifting up to 60 pounds.

The Role

The Mill Controller is responsible for safety and productivity and is accountable for ensuring that production scheduled for completion is executed in a timely manner.

What A Day In The Life Looks Like

• Monitor and operate our computer-blending/receiving system
• Sequence production runs
• Receive incoming bulk ingredients
• Generate invoices for outgoing bulk products
• Participate in the hiring and onboarding process of all Production Associates
• Lead team huddles

Now hiring in Sparta for both first and second shifts.

• First Shift: 4:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
• Second Shift: 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Friday

This role requires the ability to work in a variety of Wisconsin weather conditions and safely lift up to 60 pounds.
