Job summary

Star Blends in Wisconsin seeks a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead our mill maintenance program, keep equipment running safely, and reduce downtime across Sparta and Chippewa Falls sites.

You will perform repairs, develop preventive plans, manage maintenance logs, and collaborate with teams. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with flexibility for emergencies.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in industrial, repair, millwright, or ag equipment maintenance.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience with reading electrical schematics.

The Role

We’re looking for a hands‑on, solution‑driven Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance efforts of our mill machinery and mechanical equipment. In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring equipment runs safely and efficiently, minimizing downtime, and supporting farm success behind the scenes.

What a Day In The Life Looks Like

Machinery Repair and Electrical Maintenance

• Perform emergency and routine repairs to maintain uptime
• Read and interpret electrical schematics to solve electrical issues
• Minor truck and trailer repairs as needed

Preventive Maintenance and Troubleshooting

• Create and execute preventative maintenance plans
• Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems to prevent breakdowns

Maintenance Logging

• Maintain accurate records of repairs and inspections
• Use data to improve reliability and performance

Schedule

Typical hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. 4 days at Sparta Mill & 1 day at Chippewa Falls Mill (must be flexible to go to Chippewa Falls for emergencies as needed)

What You Bring

• 1+ year experience in industrial, repair, millwright, or ag equipment maintenance
• Two‑year technical degree in a maintenance‑related area or equivalent work experience
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities
• Experience with electrical schematics
• Excellent organization and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
