Job summary

Model Dairy LLC in Fresno, CA is seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Specialist to oversee the plant's receiving operations. You will maintain logs, inspect tankers, and ensure compliance with GMPs and safety protocols.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a Weighers and Samplers license and a valid Class C driver’s license, and at least 3 years of transport/coordinating experience in a manufacturing/food processing environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains plant receiving log and paperwork.
• Ensures milk tankers meet standards by performing an antibiotic test on each tanker.
• Checks paperwork and wash tags of incoming tankers.
• Keeps receiving area clean at all times.
• Flushing raw receiving line and maintaining sanitation per schedule.
• Follows GMPs and ensures all in the receiving area follow GMPs.
• Changes tanker filters daily and maintains electrical panels around cleaning areas.
• Wears appropriate safety equipment when working with chemicals.
• Keeps hand wash station clean with soap and towels.
• Reports equipment or other problems to a supervisor and uses maintenance work orders.
• Cleans tankers raw line #2 and raw milk silos and washes tanks prior to 72 hour rules.
• Records cleaning and sanitizer concentrations in Master Sanitation Log.
• Verifies OJ concentrate specs by checking brix.
• Changes all air blow filters in Receiving Room.
• Ensures recording charts are installed and filled out correctly.
• Maintains professional dress, hygiene and appearance.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Job description

• Maintains plant receiving log and all paperwork.
• Ensures all milk tankers meet Producers Dairy, state and federal standards by performing an antibiotic test on each tanker.
• Checks paperwork and wash tags of incoming tankers.
• Keeps receiving area clean at all times.
• Properly flushes raw receiving line, using the inline “pig” at the end of each receiving day or as necessary.
• Follows GMP’s and insures that all in the receiving area follow GMP’s.
• Changes tanker filters on a daily basis. Covers all electrical panels when cleaning around them.
• When working with chemicals, wears appropriate safety equipment.
• Keeps hand wash station clean at all times and supplied with soap and paper towels.
• Reports any equipment or other problems to a supervisor and makes use of maintenance work orders as needed.
• Properly cleans tankers raw line #2 and raw milk silos. Washes tanks prior to

• Records cleaning and sanitizer concentrations in Master Sanitation Log.
• When receiving OJ concentrate, verifies that produce meets specifications by checking brix.
• Changes all air blow filters in Receiving Room.
• Ensures all recording charts are installed in a timely manner and correctly filled out.
• Maintains professional and appropriate dress, hygiene and personal appearance.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Minimum:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must possess a Weighers and Samplers license and valid Class C driver’s license
• A minimum of 3 years transport/coordinating experience, preferably in manufacturing/food processing environment with a transportation division
• Must be a team player, must enjoy coaching/training and troubleshooting
• Ability to lead, gain trust and influence all levels of the organization
