Job summary

Agropur Cooperative in Little Chute, WI, is seeking an Intake Operator I to learn receiving milk, testing quality, and sanitation procedures under supervision. The role emphasizes adherence to GMPs and proper sanitation throughout the production lines.

Responsibilities include operating in a dairy environment, conducting antibiotic tests, washing tanks and trucks, and supporting sanitation schedules while assisting with training and safety protocols. AA/EEO statements are included.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrate attention to detail, quality and cleanliness in work.
  • Follow one- or two-step verbal instructions; read and follow written instructions; perform routine and repetitive tasks and carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or verbal instructions.
  • Demonstrate functional and technical knowledge, ability to learn new skills quickly, and achieve a high level of accomplishment.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Basic computer operational skills; able to input and retrieve computerized information.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow documents and procedures (GLP, SOP, MSDS, GMP, test procedures, and HACCP).
  • Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships.

  • The Intake Operator I position, under the direction of a Trainer learns to receive milk from milk haulers and truckers, ensuring quality of milk through samples, testing and proper sanitation.
  • Run antibiotic tests.
  • Wash tanks and silos.
  • Wash and unload milk trucks.
  • Wash product lines.
  • Process milk slips.
  • Perform RO readings.
  • Complete tasks on Master Sanitation Schedule.
  • Load whey/cream trucks.
  • Mix powder for production
  • Wash tanks and silos.
  • Wash RO/POL.
  • Wash Whey Separator.
  • Mix NFDM.
  • Mix WPC.
  • CIP lines.
  • Complete tasks on Master Sanitation Schedule.
  • Assist in training new employees as directed by Supervisor.
  • Attend meetings as directed.
  • Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.

What you’ll be responsible for each day:

  • Load whey/cream trucks.
  • Mix powder for production
  • Wash tanks and silos.
  • Wash RO/POL.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Attend meetings as directed.

Safety Protocol
  • Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
  • Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
  • Support safety policies and programs.

Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Our Little Chute, WI, plant is home to about 95 employees. This facility is a top manufacturer of IQF sticks that are supplied to the appetizer industry.
