Job summary

Aleknagik Technology, LLC is seeking a Health Educator to support the Armed Forces Wellness Center at Fort Eisenhower. The role focuses on health promotion, fitness testing, and education across six core programs, with collaboration across agencies and rigorous data collection.

The candidate will have a 4-year Allied Health degree, national credentials, BLS, and strong public speaking/customer service skills, U.S. citizenship, and a background check clearance.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in an Allied Health field (exercise science/exercise physiology preferred) from an accredited college or university.
• Maintains one or more nationally recognized NCCA credentials (ACSM, NASM, NSCA, CHES/MCHES, etc.)
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Excellent public speaking skills
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
• U.S. citizenship required
• must pass a security background check

Responsibilities

• Conducts evidence-based health promotion programs based on behavioral change theories and uses evaluation tools to measure changes in support of the AFWC program.
• Conducts physical fitness testing and comprehensive health and wellness assessments using advanced technology.
• Conducts individual and group coaching appointments applying behavior change theories and health coaching strategies.
• Ensures complete and timely data collection and entry through approved documentation systems.
• Understands basic health sciences including anatomy/physiology, exercise science, nutrition, and counseling techniques.
• Assesses and plans health education programs in line with AFWC directives.
• Collaborates with community agencies and works both independently and as part of a team.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
