Job summary

The Tire Repairer role at KBR supports TACOM (RRAD) by inspecting, repairing, replacing, mounting, balancing, and maintaining tires on military and commercial vehicles to ensure fleet readiness.

Candidates should have experience with tire service on automotive and heavy-duty vehicles, be able to read maintenance manuals, and lift heavy materials. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting, repairing, replacing, mounting, and balancing tires on automotive, commercial, heavy-duty, or military vehicles.
• Knowledge of tire construction, wear patterns, wheel assemblies, inflation systems, and repair procedures.
• Ability to operate tire service equipment, hand tools, power tools, and lifting devices safely.
• Reading and following technical manuals, work instructions, and maintenance procedures.
• Experience maintaining records and completing maintenance documentation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tires, wheels, and related components for wear, damage and serviceability.
• Repair, replace, mount, dismount, and balance tires on vehicles, trailers, and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tire and wheel assemblies per manuals and standards.
• Operate tire-changing, balancing, inflation and lifting equipment safely.
• Maintain maintenance records and work orders as required.
• Support fleet maintenance to minimize downtime and maintain readiness.
• Comply with safety, environmental, and hazardous material handling requirements.
