Job summary

Infopact, Inc. seeks a Transition Counselor to support DoD and Federal civilian clients. You will provide individualized counseling, group instruction, and lifecycle case management from initial counseling through Capstone validation.

You will develop transition plans aligned to employment, education, entrepreneurship, and personal goals, delivering sessions in person and virtually using government-approved materials. Security clearances and DoD requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; two years of counseling/advising experience in benefits, employment, education, or military transition.
• Knowledge of counseling principles, case management, adult learning, and career development.
• Ability to facilitate groups and provide effective in-person and virtual instruction.
• Strong interpersonal, documentation, time-management, computer, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload, meet deadlines, protect PII, and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Government suitability, installation access, CAC, and system access.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized counseling, group instruction, and lifecycle case management to transitioning Soldiers and eligible clients.
• Serve as the primary case manager from initial counseling through Capstone validation.
• Develop, update, and execute Individual Transition Plans aligned to employment, education, entrepreneurship, vocational, and personal goals.
• Deliver one-on-one counseling, group instruction, briefings, workshops, and virtual services using Government-approved curricula.
• Maintain continuous case engagement and required contact cadence from enrollment through Capstone and transition completion.
• Guide clients in completing Career Readiness Standards and required documentation (DD Form 2648 and records).
• Schedule and reschedule appointments, identify barriers, and coordinate interventions.
• Document services, milestones, assessments, referrals, and follow-on actions in the system of record.
• Coordinate warm handovers to VA, DoD, education providers, and community partners.
• Support intake, registration, logistics, records management, surveys, and admin functions for delivery.
