Job summary

Siemens is offering a DoD SkillBridge internship for a Field Technician across the Western United States. It is an onsite program with collaboration between Siemens and Vets2PM for active-duty military members approved for SkillBridge.

You will gain hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing, and installing HVAC, Building Automation, Fire/Life Safety, or Security systems, while partnering with engineering and operations teams to deliver value.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical experience supporting mechanical, electrical, thermodynamic, hydraulic, mechatronic, or related systems.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (verbal & written).
• Demonstrated ability to interface with customers and collaborate with team members.
• Ability to work on-site and travel locally as needed.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
• Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license with limited violations.

Responsibilities

• Meet with customers to diagnose HVAC/ Building Automation, Fire/Life Safety, or Integrated Security systems and perform maintenance, repair, or installation; commissioning if needed.
• Consult with internal engineering and management for discrepancies or problems.
• Interface with customers: complete service work documentation, provide training guidance, and recommend system enhancements.
