Job summary

MAT is seeking a Military Science Instructor (MSI) to teach cadets in classroom and field settings, delivering standard and creative instruction aligned with ROTC programs. The role requires experience as a commissioned or non-commissioned officer and the ability to live and instruct in field environments during training exercises.

The MSI will coach Cadet teams for Ranger Challenge and drill competitions, support CST activities including marketing and recruitment, and travel to CST locations

Qualifications

• Must be a Commissioned or Non-Commissioned Officer within the U.S Army (Active Component, Reserve, or National Guard).
• Permanent employment requires minimum six years prior active or reserve military experience; temporary 4–6 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide military science instruction in classroom and field settings per Cadet Command POI and ROTC directives.
• Coach cadet teams for events such as Ranger Challenge, drill team, and color guard.
• Travel for Cadet Summer Training and recruiting events; support CST for ~40 days at Fort Knox, KY.
