Job summary

RQ Construction LLC seeks Construction Assistant Superintendents to support the West Coast Field Operations team on military projects across San Diego County. Based in Carlsbad, this role may work at sites throughout the county while assisting the Superintendent in daily field operations.

Responsibilities include coordinating subcontractors, maintaining schedules and budgets, ensuring safety and quality, and aligning work with contract documents and RQ’s standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; coursework in construction management is a plus.
• Minimum three years in a lead foreman role with scheduling, procurement, field supervision, and safety oversight.
• Experience with government, military, or large-scale projects is highly desirable.
• Design-Build delivery experience is a plus; proficiency with MS Office and internet tools required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in managing day-to-day field operations.
• Coordinate subcontractors and crews to ensure safety, quality, and schedule compliance.
• Maintain project schedules, budgets, and compliance with contract documents.
• Assist with access to active military installations and adherence to DoD requirements.
