Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and fluent in English; bilingual in English and Spanish may be required.
• Must have AFC, CFP, or ChFC certification.
• Must have over a thousand hours of financial counseling experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal financial counseling and management services to service members and their families.
• Assists service members in establishing a spending plan for extended absences.
• Develops and provides informational financial materials.
• Coordinates and provides Personal Financial Management classes/workshops.
• Responds to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.
• Utilizes virtual counseling or other electronic modes of communication (web-based, secure chat, video teleconference).
• Manages duty to warn situations per DoD protocol.
• Communicates with leadership; participates in supervision and training activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
