Job summary

Magellan Health seeks a Personal Financial Counselor to provide counseling services at Luke AFB for service members and their families. The role includes budgeting guidance, educational materials, and coordination of financial classes across the installation. Requirements include 3+ years of financial counseling, U.S.

citizenship, fluent English, and AFC/CFP/ChFC certifications. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is expected; contract may require bilingual

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Associate degree + 4 years' experience in lieu of bachelor's degree.
• High school diploma + 6 years' experience in lieu of bachelor's degree.
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• U.S. citizen and fluent English.
• If required by the contract, bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
• Must pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.
• Must have AFC, CFP, or ChFC certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal financial counseling and management services to service members and their families.
• Assist service members in establishing a spending plan for extended absences.
• Develop and make available informational financial materials.
• Coordinate, publicize and provide financial classes/workshops.
• Respond to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.
• Utilize virtual counseling or electronic modes of communication as authorized.
• Communicate with leadership and participate in supervision.
