Magellan Federal seeks a Personal Financial Counselor to serve service members and their families at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. The role delivers comprehensive financial counseling, including education, one-on-one sessions, briefings, and referrals to support DoD initiatives.

Responsibilities include developing spending plans, coordinating DoD-aligned classes, and utilizing virtual counseling as needed, with regular coordination with installation leadership and POCs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• May consider assoc degree + 4 years experience.
• May consider HS diploma + 6 years experience.
• 3+ years financial counseling experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and fluent in English.
• If required, bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Must be able to pass OCI disclosures process.
• Certifications AFC/CFP/ChFC preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide personal financial counseling and management services to service members and families.
• Assist service members in establishing a spending plan for extended absences.
• Develop and provide informational financial materials.
• Coordinate and run Personal Financial Management classes/workshops.
• Deliver virtual counseling when required by contract.
