Job summary

Magellan Health in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Personal Financial Counselor to provide counseling and education to service members and their families on personal finances within DoD guidelines. You will deliver one-on-one counseling, group sessions, and informational materials to help manage money during deployments and transitions.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent mix of education and experience), 3+ years in financial counseling, U.S.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
Associate degree plus 4 years' experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's.
High school diploma plus 6 years' experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's.
3+ years of financial counseling experience.
Must be a U.S. citizen and fluent in English.
If required by the contract, must be bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

Provide personal financial counseling and management services to service members and families.
Assist in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
Develop and distribute informational financial materials for service members and families.
Coordinate and provide Personal Financial Management classes/workshops.
Respond to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.
