Job summary

DOCS Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to partner as an independent contractor to provide health readiness services for military personnel in Texas. The role emphasizes weekend work with some weekday shifts under the RHRP, and involves travel to remote installations as needed.

The ideal candidate will hold an active NP license in the state, CPR/BLS certification, and experience in primary or occupational health, with knowledge of military protocols. Background checks and E-Verify apply.

Qualifications

• Active NP license in the state (TX).
• CPR/BLS Certification required.
• Experience with Primary Care, Urgent Care or Occupational Health preferred.
• Knowledge of Military systems, protocols, and terminology preferred.
• Adaptable to fast-paced environments with high daily volumes of service members.

Responsibilities

• Support Physical Health Assessments of military personnel.
• Review health history, service member medical records, and medical questionnaires.
• Interview military personnel to determine current and prior medical concerns.
• Identify any concerns that need immediate attention, including Behavioral Health.
• Document interview results for readiness classification in the service member’s medical record using the proprietary system.
