The position also supports relationships with healthcare employers, educational institutions, licensing and regulatory entities, military installations, and community partners to strengthen pathways for military medical talent. Through client support, outreach, research, presentations, data collection, and program activities, this position helps reduce barriers to civilian healthcare careers and supports Virginia’s healthcare workforce needs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Familiarity with military healthcare occupations and their civilian equivalents.
  • Understanding of career pathways, education, training, and professional advancement opportunities.

  • Ability to collect, maintain, analyze, and report program and performance data.
  • Ability to independently manage a high-volume workload, client caseload, deadlines, and competing priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn client and program management systems.
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout Virginia to support clients, employers, partners, meetings, and events.
  • Prior military medical experience as a Combat Medic (68W), Hospital Corpsman, Medical Technician (4N0X), or comparable military medical specialty is preferred.
