Job summary

Intelligence Federal is seeking a Paralegal with military justice/court experience to support high-profile military commission proceedings at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The role involves legal research, litigation support, and court reporting in a secure federal environment.

This is a fully onsite position in Alexandria, VA with travel to Guantanamo Bay for up to three weeks at a time. Eligible for Intelligence Federal benefits and recognized as a Best Place to Work in 2024 by the Washington Business

Qualifications

Must be a US Citizen.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance (sponsorship for upgrade from Secret possible).
Minimum of 2 years paralegal experience in military/JAG environment.

Responsibilities

Perform substantive and procedural legal work to support attorneys and staff.
Assist attorneys and investigators in hearings, briefings, and meetings on legal matters.
Conduct factual and legal research for investigations.
Draft legal documents such as correspondence, complaints, and briefs.
Schedule interviews, hearings, witnesses, depositions, and related discussions.
Investigate claims or potential cases; review facts and interview witnesses.
Perform court reporting and paralegal support during trials.
Other paralegal duties as assigned.
