Job summary

LMI is seeking a UX/UI Designer to join a cross-functional team delivering capabilities for the Defense Health Agency revenue cycle program. You will drive user experience and interfaces, collaborating with product managers, clinicians, and developers in a military healthcare setting.

The role demands a strategic thinker and collaborative designer who thrives in ambiguity, with a strong portfolio and experience applying human-centered design to improve clinical workflows and care delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Design, HCI, Health Informatics, or related field.
• 5+ years of UX/UI or product design experience in federal, healthcare, or clinical environments preferred.
• Portfolio demonstrating enterprise application design, ideally in government health or process-improvement contexts.
• Knowledge of HCD/Design Thinking processes and applying them to client challenges.
• Proficiency with Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Strong visual and interaction design, accessibility, and responsive layouts.
• Understanding of UX principles, patterns, 508 compliance for secure government environments.
• Ability to analyze usage data and translate into actionable design direction.
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS; basic JavaScript.

Responsibilities

• Apply human-centered design to help clients solve complex problems in planning, processes, and technology adoption.
• Facilitate discovery workshops with government stakeholders and frontline users.
• Synthesize research data and craft stories to communicate insights shaping service and tech innovations.
• Collaborate with product owners, clinicians, and engineers to identify needs and improve workflows across the lifecycle.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, visuals, and interaction patterns for diverse stakeholders.
• Support design fidelity and integration with the design system across the platform.
