Job summary

LMI Consulting, LLC is seeking a Military Health UI/UX Designer to join a cross-functional team delivering critical capabilities for the Defense Health Agency Revenue Cycle Management program.

You will drive user experience and interface design in a military healthcare setting, collaborating with product managers, clinicians, and developers to improve clinical workflows and care delivery across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Health Informatics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of UX/UI or product design experience in federal, healthcare, or clinical environments.
• Portfolio demonstrating enterprise application design in federal health or related contexts.
• Knowledge of HCD or Design Thinking processes with hands-on facilitation.
• Proficiency with design and prototyping tools including Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Strong foundation in visual and interaction design, accessibility, and responsive layouts.
• Understanding of UX principles, patterns, and 508 compliance for secure government environments.
• Ability to analyze usage data and translate into design direction.
• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS; basic JavaScript.

Responsibilities

• Lead iterative design thinking processes to address clinical and operational user needs.
• Facilitate discovery and workshops with diverse government stakeholders using human-centered methods.
• Synthesize research data and craft compelling stories to guide service and technology innovations.
• Collaborate with product managers, clinicians, and engineers to define UX requirements.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, visuals, and interaction patterns for varied stakeholders.
• Design and deliver workshops to improve organizational and team performance.
• Ensure designs align with the platform design system and TX goals.
• Participate in usability testing and field validation with clinical staff and patients.
• Support developers to maintain design fidelity throughout delivery lifecycle.
• Coordinate interviews with stakeholders and review mockups to ensure user impact.
• Work with engineering to define features addressing clinical problems; build prototypes.
• Use analytics to track UX performance and inform improvements.
• Contribute to design standards, accessibility compliance, and scalable design systems.
• Create internal HTML/CSS style guides for consistent experiences.
