Job description

UI/UX Designer (Remote) - Clearance Required
Overview

LMI is seeking an experienced UI/UX Designer to support the delivery of next-generation software capabilities for U.S. Army modernization initiatives. This position requires an Active Secret security clearance.

Working closely with Product Owners, Software Engineers, Technical Program Managers, Scrum Masters, Forward Deployed Engineers, and Army stakeholders, you will design intuitive, mission-ready user experiences that enable Soldiers to quickly understand information, make informed decisions, and execute operations in dynamic environments.

You will be responsible for translating complex operational workflows, command and control processes, and mission requirements into modern, user-centered interfaces that perform in real-world Army environments. Drawing on commercial UX best practices and human-centered design principles, you'll help ensure cloud-native, AI-enabled software is not only powerful, but also intuitive, efficient, and trusted by operational users.

Join a high-performing software team delivering next-generation capabilities that directly support U.S. Army modernization. As a UI/UX Designer, you'll shape how Soldiers interact with mission-critical software by transforming complex operational workflows into intuitive, efficient, and visually compelling user experiences.

Working alongside Product Owners, Technical Program Managers, Engineering Leads, Software Engineers, AI specialists, and Army stakeholders, you'll directly influence the usability of cloud-native, AI-enabled software deployed across enterprise cloud and Tactical Edge Compute (TEC) environments. Your work will help deliver software that enables faster decision-making, improves operational awareness, and enhances mission effectiveness for Army organizations worldwide.
