Job summary

DOCS Health is seeking licensed Physician Assistants to serve as independent contractors providing health readiness services to military service members. Most work will occur on weekends with occasional weekday hours in California, on an as-needed basis under the Reserve Health Readiness Program.

Qualifications

• Active PA license in the relevant state.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care or Occupational Health is preferred.
• Willingness to travel to remote military installations.
• Ability to work weekends and some weekdays.

Responsibilities

• Support Physical Health Assessments of military personnel.
• Review health history, service member medical records, and medical questionnaires.
• Interview military personnel to determine current and prior medical concerns.
• Identify any concerns that need to be addressed immediately, including Behavioral Health.
• Document interview results for readiness classification in the service member’s medical record using a proprietary system.
