Job summary

SierTeK Ltd. seeks a Mathematician to support USAF School of Aerospace Medicine with advanced data science and statistical analyses on health surveillance, readiness, and program effectiveness.

Responsibilities include designing analyses, developing methods, and producing reports for leadership; candidates should have MS in a quantitative field and 3+ years of experience with R/Python/MATLAB/SAS, plus strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• MS in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Operations Research, or closely related discipline.
• At least 3 years of professional experience applying mathematical and statistical methods.
• Proficiency in at least two of: R, Python, MATLAB, Maple, Visual Basic.
• Experience with SAS and SAS Enterprise Guide.
• Strong understanding of statistical modeling processes, including model verification and validation.

Responsibilities

• Design, formulate, conduct, and lead complex analyses of health surveillance and military records.
• Provide statistical support for studies on human performance and readiness.
• Develop innovative analytical methods to solve multifactorial problems.
• Retrieve, clean, and transform military health and deployment data into usable datasets.
• Conduct statistical modeling and longitudinal analyses using SAS, R, Python, and MATLAB.
• Draft technical reports and briefings for USAFSAM leadership.
