Job summary

The State of Missouri is seeking personnel to perform Military Funeral Honors for veterans in the Springfield area. This position reports to the Military Funeral Honors Team Leader and serves a multi-county area.

Responsibilities include training personnel, coordinating with National Guard units and Veterans Organizations, operating and maintaining weapons, and upholding a professional presence in public settings. Total compensation includes competitive benefits and leave.

Qualifications

Working knowledge of military structure, capabilities and procedures.
Must possess and maintain a current Missouri Driver’s License.
Ability to maintain a military atmosphere.
Current or former military service status with an Honorable Discharge.

Responsibilities

Direct supervision by Military Funeral Honors Team Leader.
Provide Military Funeral Honors support over a multi-county area.
Train subordinate workers, National Guard personnel and Veterans Organizations.
Make independent decisions concerning mission procedures.
Operate and maintain military weapons and their components; maintain logs and secure sensitive items.
Work in a public environment with professional appearance and performance.
