Qualifications

• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required; an associate degree plus 4 years’ experience or a high school diploma plus 6 years’ experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal financial counseling and management services directly to service members and their families.
• Assists service members in establishing a spending plan for extended absences.
• Develops and makes available informational financial materials to service members and families.
• Coordinates, publicizes and provides Personal Financial Management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle.
• Responds to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.
• Uses virtual counseling or electronic modes of communication as needed.
• Manages duty to warn situations per DoD protocol.
• Communicates with leadership and participates in regular supervision and reviews.
• Participates in in-services/training and quality improvement activities.
