Job summary

You will educate clients on budgeting, debt management, retirement planning, and financial readiness, coordinating with installation POCs and DoD guidelines while providing virtual options as needed. A FC/CFP/ChFC certification is preferred; a bachelor’s degree plus experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; associate degree +4 years or high school diploma +6 years acceptable in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• U.S. citizen fluent in English; bilingual in English and Spanish may be required by contract.
• Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
• Completion of OCI disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI).
• Valid driver’s license, in-state preferred.
• Certification AFC/CFP/ChFC is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal financial services at assigned military installations.
• Deliver comprehensive personal financial counseling to service members and families.
• Offer education and counseling on budgeting, debt, and financial readiness.
• Coordinate with installation POCs to ensure program scope and needs.
• Provide both in-person and virtual counseling as appropriate.
• Develop and distribute informational financial materials.
