Job Description Summary

The Senior Manager of Supplier Risk Management works in the Sourcing Center of Excellence Team and is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive supplier risk management program. This role involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with suppliers to ensure the continuity and resilience of the supply chain. The Senior Manager will work closely with various departments, including sourcing, finance, business risk resiliency, and compliance, to implement risk management strategies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Military DoD SkillBridge Program

The Military DoD SkillBridge program offers Service members valuable civilian work experience through industry training, apprenticeships, or internships during the last 180 days of service. It connects Service members with industry partners under Dept. of Defense Instruction 1322.29. Participants can be granted up to 180 days of permissive duty to focus on training full-time with approved industry partners after receiving written approval from their unit commander. GE HealthCare, as a SkillBridge partner, provides real-world training and work experience in in-demand fields. Participants continue to receive military pay and benefits; they are not eligible for additional compensation from GE HealthCare.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a supplier risk management framework to identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to first-tier and sub-tier suppliers.
• Collaborate with procurement and sourcing teams to evaluate and select suppliers based on risk criteria.
• Monitor and report on supplier performance, including financial stability, operational capabilities, and compliance with ethical sourcing standards.
• Develop and maintain tools and systems to track and manage supplier risk information.
• Lead cross-functional teams to address and resolve supplier risk issues.
• Provide training and support to internal stakeholders on supplier risk management practices.
• Partner with the Enterprise Risk Management team to align supplier risk management with broader company requirements.

Tasks

• Lead supplier risk management program deliverables, including reporting and training activities.
• Create and update risk management policies and procedures.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments across various risk types such as financial stability, operational resilience, quality, cybersecurity, ESG, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop strategies to address identified risks, including corrective actions and contingency plans.
• Communicate supplier risk information to stakeholders, including senior management and compliance officers.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance risk governance and processes.
• Identify and measure risks related to vendor risk controls.
• Document and track risks and recommendations from supplier assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, finance, audit, or compliance, focusing on supplier risk management.
• Strong understanding of global supplier risk management requirements, including ethical sourcing and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in change management and process improvement in procurement governance.
• Knowledge of risk management methodologies and mitigation principles.
• People management experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and drive process improvements.
• Proven ability to organize, execute, and deliver on commitments.
