Job Description Summary

The Senior Manager of Supplier Risk Management works in the Sourcing Center of Excellence Team and is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive supplier risk management program. This role involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with suppliers to ensure the continuity and resilience of the supply chain. The Senior Manager will work closely with various departments, including sourcing, finance, business risk resiliency, and compliance, to implement risk management strategies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Military DoD SkillBridge Program

The Military DoD SkillBridge program offers Service members valuable civilian work experience through industry training, apprenticeships, or internships during the last 180 days of service. It connects Service members with industry partners in real-world job experiences under Dept. of Defense Instruction 1322.29. Separating Service members can be granted up to 180 days of permissive duty to focus on training full-time with approved industry partners after receiving written authorization from their unit commander. GE HealthCare, as a SkillBridge partner, offers real-world training and work experience in in-demand fields. Participants continue to receive military compensation and benefits, as they remain active-duty service members.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a supplier risk management framework to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with first-tier and sub-tier suppliers.
• Collaborate with procurement and sourcing teams to evaluate and select suppliers based on risk criteria.
• Monitor and report on supplier performance, including financial stability, operational capabilities, and compliance with ethical sourcing standards.
• Develop and maintain tools and systems to track and manage supplier risk information.
• Lead cross-functional teams to address and resolve supplier risk issues.
• Provide training and support to internal stakeholders on supplier risk management practices and procedures.
• Partner with the Enterprise Risk Management team to ensure supplier risk management program elements meet broader company requirements and expectations.

Tasks

• Lead supplier risk management program deliverables, including reporting, awareness, and training activities.
• Create and update risk management policies and procedures to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments using various methodologies to evaluate potential risks like financial stability, operational resilience, quality, cybersecurity, ESG, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop strategies to address identified risks, including implementing corrective actions, contractual clauses, and contingency plans.
• Communicate supplier risk information to relevant stakeholders, including senior management, sourcing teams, and compliance officers.
• Participate in continuous improvement and cross-functional projects to enhance risk governance and process performance.
• Identify and measure risks associated with vendor risk controls.
• Document and track risks and recommendations from completed supplier assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, finance, audit, or compliance functions, focusing on supplier risk management.
• Strong understanding of global supplier risk management requirements related to ethical sourcing, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in change management and driving continuous improvement in procurement governance processes.
• Knowledge of risk management methodologies and mitigation principles.
• People management experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent business communication skills, including negotiation and influencing skills.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and coordinate process improvements.
• Proven ability to organize, execute, and deliver on commitments.
