Western Governors University seeks a Military and Veterans Benefits Specialist to administer and coordinate military-related benefit programs, including attendance certifications and invoicing. You will liaise with VA and other entities to resolve student questions while maintaining accurate records and confidentiality.

The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to support students and university staff across departments. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of experience in financial aid or similar customer service field/environment.
• Experience in lieu of education may substitute for degree requirements at hiring manager's discretion.

Responsibilities

• Administer and coordinate military-related benefit programs.
• Prepare attendance certifications and invoices monthly.
• Coordinate with Department of Veterans Affairs and other entities to resolve student questions and problems.
• Maintain records and ensure payments are processed and sent to students or the University.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional relations with students, mentors, and university staff.
