Job summary

FHE Health in Deerfield Beach, FL seeks a licensed Milieu Therapist – Behavioral Health to join a forward-thinking, evidence-based treatment team. The role focuses on group therapy, structured milieu, and personalized treatment plans for clients with behavioral health and substance use needs.

You will participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, de-escalation in crises, document progress notes, and provide education to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling or related behavioral health field is required.
• Florida LCSW or LMHC license is required.
• CPR certification and CPI training are preferred.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Florida Licensed Clinical Therapist who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals battling behavioral health challenges. What You'll Do

• Facilitate Group Therapy Sessions
• Ensure the milieu (treatment environment) is structured, supportive, and conducive to recovery.
• Implement personalized treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs and goals.
• Assist in de-escalating crises, utilizing trauma-informed care techniques.
• Document session notes, treatment plans, and progress reports according to agency policy.
• Participate in daily interdisciplinary team meetings to collaborate on patient care.
• Support medication and safety compliance
• Provide education and resources to patients and their families.

What You Need

• Master’s degree in psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field.
• Active Florida LCSW or LMHC license (LMFT or CAP-only certifications are not eligible).
• Experience in a substance abuse or mental health treatment setting (preferred but not required).
• CPR Certification
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
