Job summary

FHE Health in Deerfield Beach, FL is seeking a Clinical Therapist for the First Responder Program. You will provide patient care, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated client care.

The role requires a Master’s/Doctoral degree in a behavioral health field, an active FL LCSW or LMHC license, and EMDR training. Strong communication skills and trauma experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in psychology, social work, counseling or related behavioral health field.
• Active Florida LCSW or LMHC license (LMFT/CAP-only not eligible).
• Formal EMDR training required.
• Experience with trauma-affected individuals preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments and establish individualized treatment goals.
• Develop and adjust trauma-focused treatment plans.
• Monitor client progress and modify interventions as needed.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses and therapists for integrated care.
• Participate in program development and quality improvement initiatives.

Who We're Looking For

The Clinical Therapist is responsible for providing patient care as directed by the Director of Clinical Services, Assistant Clinical Director, Program Director, or Program Lead. Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, providing therapeutic individual, family, and group sessions, coordinating care with referral sources, collaborating with the treatment team, and assisting with discharge planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments and establish individualized treatment goals
• Develop, implement, and adjust trauma-focused treatment plans
• Monitors client progress and modify interventions as clinically appropriate
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards
• Collaborate with psychiatrist, therapist, nursing staff, and other multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive, integrated client care.
• Participate in program development and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field.
• Active Florida LCSW or LMHC license (LMFT or CAP-only certifications are not eligible).
• Formal training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy (required)
• Experience working with trauma-affected individuals preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and clinical skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
