Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care is hiring Home Health Aides (HHAs/CHHAs) to provide compassionate, individualized in-home care. Training is available for qualified candidates and we offer flexible scheduling with opportunities for rapid onboarding.

Qualifications

• Current CHHA/HHA credential in good standing with the New Jersey Board of Nursing.
• Previous home health care or patient care experience preferred but not required.
• Willing to travel to clients' homes.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one care based on a written plan of care under RN supervision.
• Bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing assistance.
• Meal preparation and feeding.
• Medication reminders.
• Light housekeeping and laundry.
• Bed making and other routine tasks.
• Assistance with ambulation and transfers.
• Vital sign checks.
• Companionship and emotional support.
• Help clients maintain independence at home.

What You'll Do

As a BAYADA Home Health Aide, you'll provide compassionate one-on-one care based on a written plan of care under the direction of a registered nurse.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Bathing, grooming, and toileting
• Dressing and personal hygiene
• Meal preparation and feeding
• Medication reminders
• Light housekeeping and laundry
• Bed making and other household tasks
• Assistance with ambulation and transfers
• Range-of-movement exercises
• Vital sign checks
• Companionship and emotional support
• Helping clients maintain their independence at home

What We're Looking For

• Compassionate, patient, dependable, and respectful

• Able to travel to clients' homes as assigned
• Comfortable working independently with clients

Previous home health care or patient care experience is welcome, but not always required. Training may be available for qualified candidates.

For Experienced CHHAs

Candidates applying for HHA/CHHA positions should have:

• A current CHHA/HHA credential in good standing with the New Jersey Board of Nursing
• Previous caregiving or home health experience, when required for the position
