Job summary

Anchor Fabrication Fort Worth is seeking a MIG Welding Trainer/Coach to develop entry‑level welders (Level 1) to Level 2 and Level 3 competency. The role combines hands‑on welding expertise with coaching, mentoring, skills assessment, and performance development to improve weld quality, productivity, safety, and employee performance on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of MIG/GMAW welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication setting.
• Ability to weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and related materials.
• Experience training, coaching, mentoring, or developing employees.
• Strong knowledge of welding symbols, blueprints, and welding specs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver structured welding training programs for Level 1 welders.
• Provide classroom, demonstration, and hands-on welding instruction.
• Demonstrate welding techniques, machine setup, fixture use, material prep, and inspection methods.
• Train employees on welding positions, joint configurations, and fabrication applications.
• Develop individual training plans to progress from Level 1 to Level 2/3 competency.
• Identify skill gaps and provide targeted coaching and retraining.
• Maintain current knowledge of welding processes and industry standards to ensure safety and quality.
