Job summary

WEG is seeking an experienced Welder in Washington, MO. You will set up and operate MIG welding machines, weld mild steel from 16 to 10 gauge, and read layouts and drawings.

The role demands safe work practices, attention to detail, and ability to work overtime or night shifts as needed. Qualifications

• Prior welding experience required.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend basic vocabulary.
• Must read and interpret blueprints, sketches and layouts.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate MIG welding machines, adjust settings as needed.
• Weld on 16 gauge to 10-gauge mild steel and attach components.
• Work from layout marks and drawings; use level, square and tools.
• Assemble, tack weld and finish weld on repetitive jobs.
• Operate grinder to clean and shape welds.
• Perform visual and dimensional checks of own work.
• Support 5S program to keep a neat work area.
