Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a hands-on MIG Welder / Torch Cutting Fabricator for a smaller, specialized shop near Tualatin, OR. You will fabricate from blueprints and use torch cutting and MIG welding in a flexible, open-space environment.

You’ll work with Miller machines, read drawings, and move parts with a forklift in a non-production setting, ensuring safety and quality in every build.

Qualifications

• Experience with MIG welding and downhand welds.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and blueprints.
• Comfort working in a smaller, non-production environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding using Miller machines and .035 wire for downhand welds.
• Use an oxy-acetylene cutting torch to cut steel to specified lengths.
• Interpret fabrication drawings and blueprints to complete builds from scratch.
• Cut and assemble materials to measurement using hand tools, iron workers, and skill saws.
• Operate a forklift to move raw materials and finished parts around the shop.
• Work independently and manage your time efficiently in a non-production line environment.
• Participate in a hands-on fabrication test as part of the interview process.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace while following shop safety protocols.
