Job summary

WelderPlant 2 in Florence, NJ is seeking a skilled welder to join our fabrication team. You will MIG weld a variety of parts and structural steel, read blueprints, and follow engineering specs to produce leak-proof welds on time.

Responsibilities include setting MIG welders to required heat/amperage, cutting and forming metal, operating cranes and forklifts, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Reliability and attendance are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Reads tape measure and performs basic math.
• Familiar with blueprints.
• Must consistently produce leak-proof welds.
• Able to use pallet jack, forklift and overhead crane.
• Reliable transportation is a must.
• High attention to detail.
• Able to stand for long periods.
• Strict attendance policy required.

Responsibilities

• Weld a variety of fabricated parts and structural steel to specifications.
• Set MIG welding machines to required heat and amperage.
• Cut, form, deburr, punch, and shear metal materials.
• Set up and operate fabrication machinery and hand tools.
• Regularly lift/move up to 25–50 pounds.
• Operate overhead crane and moving equipment (pallet jack to forklift).
