Position: MIG Welder
Location: Hartselle, AL
Wage: $23.74/hour

Shift: 4a - 2:30p

While reporting to the Production Team Leader as a Production Associate I, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks in support of production operations.

What You’ll Be Doing:

The role involves MIG welding mild steel to form finished products. Sheet materials range from 16GA to ¼” thick, with occasional ¾” plates. Other materials include flat bars 3/16” – 1 ½” thick, 3” I-Beams weighing approximately 7.5 pounds per foot, and structural tubing from 1 ¼” square to 3” x 4” rectangle. Fitting and forming parts for welding, inspection, and grinding are also required. Ability to lift 30-50 pounds is necessary. The products can be viewed at this link.

• Work in accordance with safety and quality standards
• Collaborate effectively with all plant functions (safety, quality, maintenance, management)
• Maintain general housekeeping (5S) of the work area and department
• Perform MIG welding with .045 wire, including fillet and butt joints
• Read drawings and route sheets to determine job requirements
• Be flexible to be trained on multiple jobs and weld positions
