Job summary

New Flyer is seeking a skilled welder to join our production team in Minnesota. The role requires operating welding machines, reading blueprints, and producing high-quality welds to tight specs.

It offers a path to career growth within a leading North American bus manufacturer. Two to three years of heavy manufacturing welding experience, strong teamwork, and the ability to train on days for up to 90 days are essential.

Qualifications

• Two to three years' welding experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of 5S and lean manufacturing would be an asset.
• Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints and process sheets.
• Thorough knowledge of welding procedures and practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate welding machines and work with various weld fixtures while adhering to welding procedures.
• Weld using MIG and other techniques as required.
• Read and interpret welding blueprints/process sheets and weld symbols.
• Complete tasks while meeting performance targets and quality standards.
• Collaborate effectively with team and maintain minimal supervision.
