Job summary

Wastequip is hosting a hiring event for skilled welders at our Erial, NJ facility, with open walk-in interviews and a MIG welding test. Starting pay is $23.74 per hour, plus automatic raises every 6 months.

The role requires MIG welding experience, the ability to read blueprints, lift heavy parts, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with a 401(k) and generous time off, are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; MIG welding experience required.
• Must be able to pass MIG welding test.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short memos, and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Position parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor and clamp as needed.
• Weld parts using MIG welds on vertical, horizontal, and overhead lines.
• Inspect welds for bead size and quality; grind or finish as required.
• Follow safety procedures and use appropriate PPE; stand and lift up to 90 lbs as needed.
