Job summary

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum experience in welding
• English speaking, reading and writing required
• Math skills at a minimum of 10th grade level
• Basic computer skills preferred

Responsibilities

• Fit and weld mild-steel components using MIG welding
• Produce visually and structurally acceptable weld beads
• Uphold safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping in welding shop
• Safely use hand tools, electric tools, grinders, and power equipment
• Stand for long periods (9–10 hours) and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Read and interpret basic welding blueprints and use tape measure to 1/16 in
• Receive direction and apply corrective instruction from supervisor
• Possess flexibility for overtime/weekends to meet ship dates
• Collaborate with others and work with limited supervision
• Additional duties may be assigned by management
