Job summary

Service Trucks International & Tiger Cranes in Iowa is seeking a skilled welder to fabricate and assemble components for our service bodies. You will weld galvanneal and mid steel, interpret blueprints, and use tape measures and fixtures to lay out parts.

You will perform pre- and post-weld inspections, finish welds to spec, maintain a clean, safe workstation, and collaborate with teammates and other departments to resolve issues and improve processes.

Qualifications

• Technical certification or welding school preferred.
• 1-3 years of welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Proficient in MIG welding.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and tape measure accurately.
• Understanding of welding symbols and tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Performs welding on a variety of metal components, primarily galvanneal and mid steel.
• Interprets blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to weld parts using a tape measure and layout techniques, or fixtures.
• Conducts pre-weld and post-weld inspections to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
• Grinds, cleans, and finishes welds as required to meet cosmetic and structural requirements.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment by following company safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
• Collaborate with co-workers, supervisors and other related departments to resolve issues and improve processes.
