Job summary

Aerotek in Sand Springs, OK is hiring a Welder and Fitter for a contract-to-hire role in a metal fabrication shop. The job requires reading blueprints, MIG welding, measuring parts, and fitting components with grinders, torches, and hand tools. You will work Friday through Sunday, 6:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of relevant experience or training.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use measuring tools.
• Strong mathematical skills and ability to read level, tapes, protractors.

Responsibilities

• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, grind, and bolt components to position for welding.
• Examine and measure workpieces to ensure conformance with specifications.
• Develop templates and models for welding projects using blueprint information.
• Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations.
• Maintain and complete all required records and production documentation.
• Operate forklift and crane.
• Maintain a safe work environment and report defective tools.
