Job summary

Welarco Fabrications, Inc. in Peoria, IL is seeking a Welder/Fabricator to join on-site, performing MIG and arc welding, reading prints, and assembling metal components for heavy equipment applications. The role emphasizes safety, quality workmanship, and teamwork, with a M-F 7am-3:30pm schedule and occasional overtime.

A high school diploma or GED and welding experience or coursework are required. On-site position on the shop floor with opportunities to advance and contribute to production flow

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret engineering prints.
• Welding proficiency in MIG and arc processes.
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Fit, fabricate, and weld: lay out and assemble metal components using prints, BOMs, and drawings.
• Use MIG and arc welding in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Visually inspect welds, identify defects, and perform grinding/rework as needed.
• Report print discrepancies and coordinate adjustments with the team.
• Operate shop tools and equipment and, after training, cranes and forklifts.
• Record job time accurately using barcode system.
• Maintain safe, clean, organized work area and follow safety protocols.
• Assist with installations on- and off-site and inventory checks.
