Job summary

MetalStorm Inc in De Pere, Wisconsin, seeks a skilled welder/fabricator to join our shop floor. You will perform MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless, and aluminum, read prints, and finish parts to exact specifications.

You will interpret traveler/prints, use tape measures and calipers, and ensure parts meet customer requirements in a fast-paced setting while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have welding/fabricating experience
• At least 1 year of blueprint reading (preferred)
• Read blueprints and interpret traveler/prints to fabricate/weld parts

Responsibilities

• Utilize MIG and/or TIG welding for steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Finish parts per spec on print or lead's instruction (straighten, grind, polish, wipe down).
• Read and interpret customer drawings.
• Produce quality, error-free parts with precision on customer specifications.
• Review traveler/prints to determine what needs to be fabricated/welded.
• Read blueprints, tape measure, and caliper.
• Double check parts to spec before and after fabricating, then have another approved person check.
• Follow directions in a fast-paced environment while completing jobs in allotted time frames.
• Have great communication skills and be detail oriented.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking with frequent pulling, pushing, lifting, & bending.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• All personal protective equipment must be worn where necessary (i.e. safety glasses, shoes, etc.)

• High School or equivalent preferred
