Surface Combustion, Inc. is seeking a Fabricator/Welder to construct items by cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts according to blueprints and specifications.

The role involves welding with MIG, TIG, and stick methods, and operating forklifts, press brakes, and threading machines to deliver precise components. You will read technical drawings, work with hand and power tools, and ensure safety and efficiency in all tasks.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of metal fabrication and welding experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of fabrication processes.
• Proficiency reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with forklifts, overhead cranes, metal shear, and ironwork.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively.
• Knowledge of welding techniques with carbon steel and stainless steel.
• Attention to detail and precision.
• Ability to pass welding test and OSHA Safety training test.
• AWS Welder Certification is preferred.

Job Overview

• Perform welding tasks, using various techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding
• Operate various tools and equipment such as forklifts, press brake machines, and pipe threading machines
• Rig and move heavy materials and equipment as needed
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Ensure all work is completed in a safe and efficient manner
