Job summary

Wastequip has an immediate opening for a Welder in Eagleville, TN. This full-time role requires MIG welding experience in a manufacturing setting and offers benefits including health insurance, 401K, and paid vacation.

The ideal candidate will read blueprints, use tape measures, and perform welding across multiple positions. First shift runs 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, with an hourly pay range of $22.00–$23.63 based on experience and weld test results.

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience is a must.
• 1+ year or more of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to read blueprints and measuring tape.

Responsibilities

• Positions parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor, or clamps parts together along layout marks.
• Lays out, positions, and tack welds work pieces.
• MIG welds along vertical, horizontal, and overhead weld lines.
• Connects regulator valves to oxygen and fuel gas cylinders for cutting torch; lights torch and adjusts gas mixture and pressure.
• Examines weld for bead size and other specifications.
• Chips or grinds off excess weld, slag, or splatter.
