Job summary

Lsi-Industrie in Tampa, FL is seeking an experienced MIG welder to read blueprints, verify material specifications, set up weld equipment for each job, and perform welds as directed by work orders and drawings. You will position and clamp components, use grinders and plasma cutting tools, complete the weld quality check, and ensure cleanliness and safety in a team cell environment.

Attention to detail, dexterity with hand tools, and the ability to lift up to 60 lbs are required, with overtime

Qualifications

• Welding certification or on-the-job experience strongly recommended.
• Previous experience with MIG weld procedures is required.
• Previous experience with handheld grinders, drills, hammer, plasma cutting torch, blaster equipment and drill press is strongly desired.
• Lean manufacturing and structured problem-solving tools are a plus.
• Good understanding of blueprint reading.
• Must be able to read squares and measuring tapes.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders and weld from blueprints.
• Set-up weld equipment per material type and weld per work order and blueprints.
• Position and clamp components preparatory to welding.
• Use basic power tools and grinders to clean up welds and deburr.
• Complete the Weld Quality Check list as required.
• Support lean initiatives and lean projects as required.
• Follow safety practices and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Support other departments or duties as necessary.
