Job summary

Lsi Industries, Inc. is seeking an experienced Welder to perform MIG welding per blueprints and work orders. The role involves setting up weld equipment, welding parts to spec, and ensuring quality through Weld Quality Check lists.

The ideal candidate reads blueprints, uses measuring tools, and can work in a lean manufacturing environment, with good verbal and written communication skills and readiness for overtime when needed.

Qualifications

• Welding certification or on-job experience is strongly recommended.
• Experience with MIG weld procedures is required.
• Experience with handheld grinders, drills, hammer, plasma cutting torch, blaster equipment and drill press is strongly desired.
• Lean manufacturing and structured problem-solving tools are a plus.
• Good understanding of blueprint reading.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders and parts with Supervisor and Lead Person.
• Weld techniques per material and weldment; set up weld equipment per material type.
• Welds parts per work order and blueprints; position and clamp components.
• Maintain clean work environment and perform basic weld cleanup.
• Complete Weld Quality Check list as required; support lean initiatives.
