Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring a MIG Welder for our Kansas City, MO location. Shift is 1st, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM. You will read blueprints, layout and assemble parts, and weld to exact specifications, with hydraulic and pneumatic piping tasks as needed.

You should have a high school diploma and 3–5+ years in welding within a fabrication or manufacturing setting; strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential. Competitive benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3-5+ years welding experience in a custom fabrication or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and 3D drawings.
• Skilled in using hand tools, measuring instruments, and basic computer applications.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Demonstrated accountability, attention to detail, and commitment to quality work.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, BOMs, routings, and work instructions to accurately assemble parts and equipment.
• Layout, cut, and fit components for welding according to specifications.
• Follow piping diagrams to install and connect hydraulic and pneumatic hoses or piping.
• Weld, fit-up, layout, and welding, accounting for distortion and shrinkage.
• Follow wiring diagrams and schematics to connect electrical cabling accurately.
• Build or rework harnesses and cables to meet project specifications.
• Comply with all safety policies, 5S, and quality procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area; participate in team meetings and continuous improvement.
