Job summary

United Alloy, Inc. is seeking an experienced welder for our Seguin, TX facility. This role involves welding fabricated components per custom or stock specs and adhering to customer quality requirements and our manufacturing philosophies.

You will interpret blueprints, set up welding equipment, perform tank leak tests, and maintain high-quality output with minimal supervision. This onsite position offers a shift with premium pay and opportunities for mentoring teammates.

Qualifications

• Must pass a UAI AWS D1.1 welding test.
• Exposure to metal fabrication concepts and processes.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints.
• Regularly lift and move up to 25 lb, with occasional 50–100 lb with assist.

Responsibilities

• Set up and weld in one to two work centers.
• Weld products using fixturing with minimal supervision.
• Use hand tools, fixtures, clamps for small welding tasks.
• Interpret welding symbols and identify joints and welds.
• Meet UA weld aesthetic standards per specifications.
• Maintain welding machines and adjust wire/gas settings.
• Perform tank leak tests and monitor consumables.
• Inspect products per the Inspection Control Plan.
• Tag materials and products per WI-0002.
• Adhere to safety policies and maintain 95% work center efficiency.
• Possibly train/mentor other welders.
